A Brookhaven man was arrested Sunday on a city warrant that apparently had been issued in error. That arrest was including in The Daily Leader’s arrest reports.

Jack M. Allen, 18, was arrested by Brookhaven Police officers Sunday morning, and booked at the Lincoln County Jail. When Allen appeared at Municipal Court on Monday, it was determined that no active warrant existed for his arrest.

Allen had been ticketed in April 21, 2023, on a traffic violation and fined. According to Brookhaven Municipal Court records, that fine was paid on April 25, 2023. The Court had no other records on Allen. According to family members, the warrant was in connection to an expired tag ticket in 2022, and that fine was paid promptly.
