On Wednesday, State Auditor Shad White announced that former Itawamba Community College Honor Society Advisor Robin Lowe has pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement.
Lowe was an advisor to the Phi Theta Kappa honor roll society chapter. She converted funds meant for the chapter to her own person use.
“My team will continue working hand-in-hand with prosecutors to deliver for taxpayers,” White said. “This is how we’ve managed to recover more money over the last six years than any other six-year period in the history of the Auditor’s Office.”
Prosecuted in the Itawamba County Circuit Court, Lowe was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with 19 suspended for one year in the Intensive Supervision Program (ISP), and fines of $1,511.50.
