Free health screenings are taking place right now at the AJFC Community Action Inc. office in Brookhaven. Located at 230 South First St., just across from the Lincoln County/Brookhaven Government Complex, AJFC has partnered with Mississippi SHINE Project to provide the free blood pressure and diabetes screenings until 1 p.m.

The mission of Mississippi SHINE is to promote health and wellness in underserved counties. AJFC’s mission is to provide support services that empower families with limited resources to become self-sufficient.

Each person who has their screening today will receive a free bag of fruits, along with free health information.
