BOGUE CHITTO — Zetus, Bogue Chitto and East Franklin Volunteer Fire Departments responded to two trailer fires on Hilton Lane SW in Smithdale Saturday morning at 6:30 a.m. Bogue Chitto VFD Fire Chief Blake Wallace said one of the trailers was fully engulfed and a complete loss while another trailer suffered fire damage to a bedroom, smoke and water damage to the rest of the structure. It is unknown if anyone was in either trailer at the time of the fire but no injuries were reported. 

Mississippi’s Office of the State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire. Due to the investigation no further comment could be made by the State Fire Marshal’s Office. 

Additionally, the house fire on Old St. John back in July remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
