BROOKHAVEN — An updated forecast from the National Weather Service in Jackson warns severe storms could threaten Lincoln County. Saturday’s high temperatures are not the only weather threat.

NWS Jackson forecasts isolated severe storms to move through Southwest Mississippi between 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. this afternoon into the evening. Damaging wind gusts are possible. Hail up to a quarter in size could be part of the storms.
