Carolyn W. Link, 77, passed away June 13, 2024. Visitation will be 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church. The memorial service will be 5 p.m. Thursday at New Zion Baptist Church with burial at New Zion Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.
Carolyn was an active member of New Zion Baptist Church and a lifetime member of Junior Auxiliary. Carolyn was a member of the Crystal Springs Lions Club, Lions Clubs of MS and Lions Club International for 17 years. She served the community in various capacities but was known as Club Sight Chairman. Her latest accomplishment was collecting and sending 150 pairs of glasses to a mission in West Africa. She loved playing Bunko with her friends.
Carolyn loved her family and especially her only granddaughter Courtney. She enjoyed her nephews Shane and Joseph and their children, spoiling them as babies.
Carolyn was employed at Austin Letter Shop as Library Commissioner, at Crystal Springs Elementary School for 8 years, and during summer months she enjoyed working at the city pool keeping up with the community kids before going to Baptist Hospital in Educational Services Secretary for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Plez Wilson; mother, Lula B. Wilson; and daughter-in-law, Melody Link.
She is survived by her husband, James L. Link Jr.; son, Allen Link; daughter, Benita McKey (Robert); granddaughter, Courtney McKey; stepgrandson, Cory McKey and his daughter Raylee McKey; brother, Royce Wilson; sister, Joyce W. Farmer (Danny) and children and grandchildren; sister-in-law, Kathy Goforth (Jerry) and children and grandchildren; niece, Mandy Link Alford (Chad) and children.
