BROOKHAVEN — A trio of local winners took home cash prizes from the Mississippi Lottery Corporation. One of those winners was a Brookhaven resident.

Mississippi Lottery Corporation reported on May 31 a New Hebron player in Lawrence County won $1,250 on a cash pop ticket. The winning ticket was purchased at the New Hebron Quick Stop in New Hebron.

A McComb woman won $1,000 according to a Mississippi Lottery Corporation announcement on June 4. The winning ticket was a cash pop ticket purchased at Fill Gas LLC in McComb.

A Brookhaven woman claimed the biggest winnings of the three winners. Mississippi Lottery Corporation announced on June 4 that a Brookhaven woman won $2,500 in prize money on a cash pop ticket purchased at the Old Koke Plant in Brookhaven.
