Local couple celebrates golden anniversary today

BROOKHAVEN — Reggie and Susan Allen were married May 10, 1974 and celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday. 

Reggie is the son of Emmitt and Loretta Newell Allen and Susan is the daughter of Charles and Charlene Collinsworth. 

They have two children, Emily (Jason) Childress and Collins (Micah) Allen and six grandchildren.
