BROOKHAVEN — National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for northwest Lincoln County and central Copiah County Tuesday afternoon. The warning will expire at 4:45 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is moving through Caseyville in northwest Lincoln County and could have wind gusts reaching 60 mph and half dollar sized hail. It is moving quickly and will not be in Lincoln County for long but Copiah is still threatened.

Radar indicates more rain and storm clouds could roll through later this evening.
