A two-vehicle crash in Walthall County has claimed the life of one man, and injured another.

At approximately 5:46 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a crash on Hwy. 583.

A 1997 Nissan Maxima, driven by 61-year-old Herman Magee of Tylertown, was traveling north on Hwy. 583 when it collided with a 2003 Chevy Silverado, driven by 51-year-old Robert Henning of Tylertown, which was traveling south.

Magee suffered fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead on the scene. Henning was injured and transported to Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
