Funeral services for Mr. Marvin T. L. Babb will be on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven, MS at 2:00 PM with burial to follow in the Gum Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Marvin Howard and Bro. Mike Grenn will be officiating the services with Brookhaven Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM.

Mr. Babb, 92, of Bogue Chitto, MS, passed from this life on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Meadville Convalescent Home in Meadville, MS. He was born on September 24, 1931, in Duck Hill, MS, to Joe Singer Babb and Letha Mae Edwards Babb. He and his wife were members of Gum Grove Baptist Church. He worked as a diesel mechanic, in offshore oilfields and at Shippers Express Trucking Company in Jackson, MS until the age of 87. “Paw-Paw Babb” loved his wife and family very much and was the patriarch of 5 generations.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Tama Letha Mae Babb; sons Marvin Babb Jr., Douglas Babb, Randy McKlemurry and Michael McKlemurry; grandsons Jeffery Howard, Jeremy McKlemurry, Stacey Glen Babb, Nicholas Randall McKlemurry and baby boy infant; and great-grandson Chase McKlemurry.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years Dorothy Lanell Stewart Babb; daughters Wilda Martin (William), Peggy Carman (Kenny), Rosemary Morse (Pete), and Debbie Richie (James); sons David McKlemurry , Mitchell Babb (Martha), Johnny Babb (Wanda) and Adrian Babb (Megan); 26 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters Viola Crawford, Maggie Ruth Rousell, Mattie Mae Davies (Vincent); and brother David Babb (Linda).
