BROOKHAVEN — Southern Bone and Joint celebrated a ribbon cutting with food, sweet tea and a quick snip of giant gold scissors Friday morning. Brookhaven’s newest Orthopedic clinic is located at 815 US51 North. 

Brad Martin is leading the new clinic as the Physicians Assistant. He is a native of Brookhaven and previously worked at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Martin said over the past year he has been going down to Hattiesburg to work at the Southern Bone and Joint location and is happy to be back in Brookhaven. 

“Thank you everyone for being here. It is a big step for us to reach out more to the community,” Martin said. “My staff and I have been here a while and have gone through ups and downs together. I’m happy to be here and getting back to working in Brookhaven. It has been a while and I look forward to getting the community going again and helping the community out.” 

Southern Bone and Joint in Brookhaven has a friendly and welcoming staff. The song In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins played in the background as Martin spoke to the crowd prior to cutting the ribbon.

Brookhaven’s location is the fifth Southern Bone and Joint clinic to open. Southern Bone and Joint provide sports medicine and orthopedic healthcare services.
