BROOKHAVEN — Southern Bone and Joint Specialist P.A. is coming to Brookhaven, more specifically, at 830 US51 North. It will be the fifth office location for the healthcare provider in Mississippi when it opens in September. 

Hattiesburg, Picayune, Columbia, Laurel and Collins each have a Southern Bone and Joint Specialist office. Brookhaven Building Inspector David Fearn confirmed the company was expanding to Brookhaven the same day Five Below and TJ Maxx expansion to town was confirmed. 

Southern Bone and Joint provides orthopedic, arthritic joint replacement, hand and microvascular surgeries, arthroscopy and sports medicine, trauma management, physical management, rehab and spine disorders. Other services include direct anterior hip procedure and partial knee replacement. 

The clinic in Brookhaven will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Southern Bone and Joint Business Development Director Leigh Ann Underwood said they haven’t named the lead physician for Brookhaven yet. 

“We are looking forward to being there in September but we aren’t ready yet to release information,” Underwood said. “We are excited to be there.”
