“Is this your lucky day?” is written across the bottom of Mississippi Lottery Cash Pop tickets. The answer was “Yes” for a Brookhaven man recently.

The unidentified man won $1,000 on a $10 Cash Pop ticket purchased Saturday, July 15, at Walmart in Brookhaven.

Winning Cash Pop tickets pay off five to 250 times your wager, according to MSLotteryHome.com. Drawings are twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Players can choose up to 15 numbers, or “pops,” and select how much to wager per pop — $1, $2, $5 or $10. Players can play either or both drawings, and up to seven days’ worth of drawings on a single ticket.
