Clara Barton Calcote of Wesson recently served as a page for the Mississippi Senate. Pages generally run errands for officials and Senate staff. Barton is the daughter of Bryan and Sonya Calcote and is homeschooled.

“Working as a senate page was a fun experience. I witnessed the day-to-day workings of our government and learned a lot about our Capitol’s history. I liked running errands for senators because that brought me all over our beautiful Capitol. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and made me feel at home. I am so grateful for this opportunity,” she said.
