BROOKHAVEN — National Weather Service’s Jackson Office has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning Wednesday afternoon from now until 6 p.m. for Lincoln County and Lawerence County.

60mph wind gusts are the main concern in the Severe Thunderstorm warning as rain continues to pick up. A tornado watch is also in effect until 11 p.m. for Copiah, Lincoln, Lawerence, Franklin, Amite and Pike Counties. Hail sizes could be .75 inches and smaller in the storm.

At this time, no outages are reported for Southwest Electric in Lincoln or Copiah County and only two Entergy customers are without power so far in this storm.
