UPDATE: Josh Braiden Smith and his mother, Kristi Smith have been located and are safe.

 

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has issued an Endangered / Missing Child Alert for 9-year-old Josh Braiden Smith of Bay Springs, Jasper County, Mississippi.

Josh Braiden Smith is described as a white male, 4-foot-3 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

He was last seen Thursday, Aug. 4, at about 2 p.m. in the 900 block of County Road 17 in Jasper County.

Smith is or may be accompanied by his mother, 38-year-old Kristina Smith. Kristina Smith is described as a white female, 5-feet-1 inch tall, weighing 174 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.

They are believed to be in a 2005 gray Nissan Armada bearing MS license plate JAB6759, traveling in an unknown direction.
