A $50,000 win became a $500,000 bonanza for a Mississippi Lottery player who bought a ticket in McComb.

The player bought the ticket at Broadway Mart on South Broadway, and picked their own numbers. Four out of five white balls matched, plus the Powerball, and the player spent an extra dollar for the Powerball multiplier. The winning Powerball numbers Saturday night were 19, 24, 35, 43 and 62, with a Powerball of 2. The Powerplay number was 10, multiplying the player’s winnings 10-fold.
“We love seeing a win like this,” said Mississippi Lottery Commission President Jeff Hewitt. “This is a great example of how choosing the multiplier can really increase a player’s winnings.”

MLC advises the winner to sign the back of his or her ticket and keep it in a secure location. The winner has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize, which must be done in-person at MLC headquarters, 1080 River Oaks Drive, Flowood.
