The third annual Cornhole Tournament Honoring the Heroes will be Saturday at Lincoln Civic Center.
The event, sponsored by Warriors of the Badge, raises funds to help the non-profit’s goal of providing funds to injured first responders and families of first responders killed in the line of duty.
The beanbag-tossing competition is 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Registration for the Competitive & Recreational Division begins at 10 a.m. and bags fly at 10:45 a.m. Cost is $50 per team — payouts are $150 for first place and $75 for second.
“Just for fun” groups can play for $10 per team, with no payout.
Not limited to boards and beanbags, the event will also feature a Kids Arena, with jump houses and games. Admission to the Kids Arena is $20 per family.
A car show will take place in the parking lot. Registration is $15 per car and awards will be presented to the top five.
Bring your motorcycle and participate in bike games for $15.
Music will be provided by Strut Daddy’s Party Mix and DJ Jerry Smith. Concessions will be available.
“We’ll also have pulled pork plates, for $10 each,” said Vicki Moak, founder of Warriors of the Badge. “They come with pulled pork, dirty rice, beans and a water.”
A Helicopter Golf Ball Drop will top it all off. The helicopter will drop 250 numbered golf balls on the target area. Balls are $10 each, and the ball that ends up closest to the hole wins $250 cash.
