Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi National Guard have partnered to host a Career Day for students Feb. 16.
The event will be 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. in the Otho Messer Career-Technical Building on the Wesson campus.
“The goal of this interactive event to educate ad promote what the MSNG offers regarding jobs, opportunities, college credit, financial assistance and insight on Guard life as a whole. This Career Day will be the first and largest event of its kind,” said Tim Lea, Co-Lin director of Military Community Services.
With actual equipment and materials on hand, members of the 155th Armored Brigade Combat Team and other units will share their experiences in their respective positions and discuss the varying details of their individual jobs and roles in the Guard. All military occupational specialties in the Guard will be introduced, as well as other civilian and military roles available in the MSNG and Mississippi Military Department.
Any visiting students will be able to correlate programs of study and its application in the Guard.
