A man on the run since allegedly shooting his wife in Hattiesburg in November shot himself to death in a church parking lot in McComb Monday evening, according to McComb Police.

Bert Terrell Bell, 50, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in the parking lot of McComb First Baptist Church, McComb Chief Detective Sgt. Victoria Carter said.

According to McComb police, Bell was approached by officers in the church’s parking lot. It was then that he shot and killed himself.
