We firmly believe that the people who live and work in Lincoln County are some of the most generous and kind-hearted people to be found anywhere.

Especially when people go out of their way to support fundraising efforts for families with mounting medical expenses  — such as Aiden Martin, Derrick Stewart or Myles Teaster — or the recent Smokin’ Out Child Abuse event at Magnolia Blues BBQ where money was raised to support the Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy Center and its fight against child abuse and neglect.

Hundreds or thousands of other examples could be mentioned, and many of these causes will continue to need support — financially and with prayers and other assistance — but suffice it to say we are proud to be part of a community that cares about one another and backs up their words with their gifts and helping hands.
