No rain today but severe weather coming Friday

No rain and temperatures in the 80s are expected for Lincoln County Thursday, with severe weather moving in Friday.
The National Weather Service in Jackson predicted no rain for the area throughout the day Thursday, with temps reaching 83 degrees.
Friday afternoon through Saturday morning, however, severe storms are likely with an enhanced risk across most of Central and South Mississippi. Beginning after 1 p.m. Friday, damaging winds up to 70 mph are expected with large hail up to baseball size and possible tornadoes.
Chance of precipitation is 30% for Friday afternoon, increasing to 90% overnight with rainfall of 1-2 inches possible.
Saturday, showers are likely and a possible thunderstorm is forecast prior to 10 a.m., dropping to a chance of showers and storms until 1 p.m. and a slight chance thereafter. High will be near 79 and 0.5-0.75 inches of rain is possible.
No more rain is in the current forecast until Tuesday.
