Well-known Mississippi artist Wyatt Waters is painting in downtown Brookhaven today.
Waters, a Brookhaven native who lives and operates his gallery in Clinton, said he loves to come back to his hometown to paint as often as he can — at least once a year. Accompanied by his wife and business manager, Kristi, Waters set up in front of The Haven on West Cherokee Street Monday morning to paint downtown architecture.
Waters is a prolific watercolorist, preferring to paint solely on location. Longtime Brookhaven residents know the artist is no stranger to the area. He can be seen painting and chatting with interested passers-by anytime he is in town.
The Wyatt Waters Gallery is located at 307 Jefferson St., Clinton, and is open Wednesday-Saturday, and by appointment.
