Elevated weather risk for Lincoln County overnight

The National Weather Service has issued hazardous weather outlooks for Lincoln and Lawrence counties and surrounding areas, beginning Wednesday night.
Wednesday night, additional freezing rain and sleet with ice accumulations up to a quarter of an inch is possible in Lincoln County, which is under elevated threat. Ice covered roads and bridges are likely with difficult travel conditions expected. Some tree limbs may break and sporadic power outages will be possible.
Lawrence County is under limited threat. Wednesday night, light freezing rain and light sleet are possible. Additional light icing of bridges and overpasses are also possible and travel could be difficult.
Authorities urge residents to stay off roadways unless in case of emergency, when extreme care is cautioned.
