A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia, Louisiana, for James Martin Anding, 74, who passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, at his residence.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. 

Rev. Gregory Cormier will officiate at the funeral service.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.

 Mr. Anding was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, raising cattle and ranching and watching sports, especially his favorite teams, the LSU Tigers and UL Ragin Cajun softball. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Stephenson Anding of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana; daughter, Tonya Lynn Anding of Lake Charles, Louisiana; sons, Benny Anding and wife Marsha “Cricket” of Stratford, Oklahoma, Jamie Redrick Anding of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Clinton “Scott” Anding of New Iberia, Louisiana; stepson, Allen Bowman and spouse Laura of Kountze, Texas; stepdaughters, Shonda Babb and spouse Loren, and Casey Babb and spouse Mikey, all of Cecilia; stepdaughter-in-law, Glinda Bowman of Wilberton, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jacob Anding, Kayla Bearden, B.J. Anding, Devin Anding, Atleigh Anding, Kelsie Anding, Greyson Cole Anding, Chelsea Graves, Zach Bowman, Christie Bowman-Wilkett, Redus T. Bowman III, Makayla Babb, Ethan Babb, Aleese Babb, Drake Babb; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Redrick Anding; mother, Myrtis Durr Eugene Anding; daughter, Sandra Jean Anding; siblings, Lillian Anding Case, Willie Anding, Lydia Mae Case, Alice Anding Sanderford, Mildred Anding Sanford and Bennie Anding; and his stepson, Redius Bowman II.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Sanford, Robert Bowman, Barry Shedd, Chris Diamond, Kasey Bearden and Rob Guidry. 

Honorary pallbearers will be  Klay Bearden, Karson Bearden, James Anding, Ethan Babb, Drake Babb and Logan Stelly.
