Firefighters responded to a smell of smoke this morning at The Daily Leader newspaper office on Railroad Avenue. Capt. Buddy Thibodeaux and his crew were called around 10:30 a.m. about a smell of smoke in one of the offices. Firefighters inspected the building, but found no source of fire. Thibodeaux said the smell likely came from a fluorescent light ballast.
