Funeral services for Alice C. Nettles, of Walker, Louisiana, formerly of Brookhaven, are Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home (Natchez Drive) with burial at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Bro. Willie Welch will officiate the services.

Visitation will be today, Aug. 16, 2018, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home and will continue Friday, Aug. 17, 2018, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Nettles, 91, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born April 10, 1927, in Lincoln County, to Martin Case and Bessie Case Case. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a retired Louisiana state employee with the Department of Labor and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Howard Nettles; son, Howard C. Nettles; and brothers, Carlos Case, Ellis Case and Markette Case.

Survivors are her daughters, Cindy O’Neal and Lynda Brigalia, both of Walker, Louisiana; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Case Britt (Tom) and Minnie Case Miller; and a host of family and friends.
