MOSS POINT, Miss. (AP) — A Mississippi woman has been killed after her car plunged off an interstate bridge and into the Pascagoula River.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol says that a semi-trailer ran into the back of the woman’s Nissan Sentra, sending it over the side of the bridge and into the water on Sunday.
The Highway Patrol identified the woman as 55-year-old Ladonna Rich of Lucedale. Authorities say the semi was driven by a 27-year-old man from Miami Springs, Florida.
A boater spotted the woman’s body in the water shortly after the crash and was able to retrieve it.
