Brookhaven and Monticello boards of aldermen and Lincoln County School Board will postpone public meetings scheduled for today until Thursday due to concerns about the weather.

The Lincoln County School Board has moved tonight’s meeting to 5 p.m. Thursday at the Region 8 Building in Brookhaven.

The meeting was postponed from Monday, which was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, to today, and now will be moved to Thursday because of freezing temperatures and icy roads.

The meeting place has been changed to a boardroom at Region 8 to accommodate members of the public who may want to attend.

Brookhaven Board of Aldermen will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Monticello Board of Aldermen has also moved its meeting to Thursday at 5 p.m.
