John and Robin Sherman announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter Shelby Sherman, of Oxford, to Jamison Powell, of Brookhaven.

He is the son of Ken and Sherry Powell.

The bride-elect is granddaughter of Charles and Rosalea Sherman, and Charles and Earline Roberts.

Miss Sherman is a 2009 graduate of Oxford High School and a 2013 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in communications/PR/marketing.

She is employed as a project coordinator at Horne, LLP.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Jerry and Betty Byrd, and Doyle and Anne Powell.

Mr. Powell is a 2010 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2014 graduate of Mississippi State University with a degree in biological sciences.

He is employed in medical sales.

The couple will exchange vows on Jan. 6, 2018, at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, in Oxford. A reception will follow.

All friends and family are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
