Lawrence County loses decisively to Purvis 60-32

Purvis took its contest against Lawrence County Friday by a conclusive 60-32 score.
Lawrence County had a mediocre defensive performance in the first half, giving up 32 points. That put it down 32-16. The defense wasn’t great in the second half either, allowing another 28 points.
Purvis is now evened up at 4-4. The defeat brought Lawrence County down to 3-6. It is on an unfortunate four-game losing streak.
Both teams are aiming to improve upon those records in their upcoming games. Purvis will battle it out against Poplarville on Friday at 7 p.m.
The team will be hoping to continue its now three-game trend of scoring more points each week than the last. Meanwhile, Lawrence County will look to defend its home turf against Greene County this Friday at 7 p.m.
