Brookhaven cross country wins big at invitational

The Ole Brook cross country team won three-of-four 5K races at the St. Andrews Invitational Saturday.
The boys varsity team came away with a clean sweep, scoring a perfect 15 points with their top five runners placing first through fifth. The girls varsity team won their race just two points ahead of Germantown with a score of 32.
In the boys middle school race, Brookhaven came away with the win with four runners placing in the top five. The girls middle school team, comprised of all first-year runners, came in second behind Germantown.
Top finishers in boys varsity:
Andrew Knott, first (16:49); Adrian Lockwood, second (17:15); Darius Arnold, third (18:16); Jacob Britt, fourth (18:18); Caleb McCreary, fifth (18:18).
Top finishers in girls varsity:
Miyah Miller, second (21:55); Bailey Pounds, fourth (22:09); Carley Craig, fifth (22:19); Emmaline Wolfe, 10th (23:05).
Top finishers in boys middle school:
Grayson Childress, first (19:15); Jake Thompson, second (19:19); Collin Kellum, third (20:03); Sam Arnold, fifth (21:02).
Top finishers in girls middle school:
Quinn Boerner, seventh (26:06); Ellie Slay, eighth (26:39)
