The 2017 Dixie Youth baseball season brought Lincoln County a lot of great teams and a lot of great moments throughout the summer.

Lincoln County had nine teams represented in Dixie Youth state tournaments and one team made it all the way to the end with a championship.

The Lincoln County 8U National League team won the district championship in Summit with the Natchez 8U team finishing as the runner up.

The Lincoln County 10U National League team finished as the runner-up in the district tournament in Summit, falling to Walthall County in the championship game.

In the Mississippi Dixie Youth AA Coach Pitts state tournament, the Lincoln County National League team won two games against Natchez by a score of 16-5 and against Amory by a score of 5-0. The team fell in the quarterfinals against Kosciusko by a score of 10-2 to end their great run.

In the same tournament, the Lincoln County American League team fell in the opening round against Amory by a score of 12-11, and then dropped their elimination game against Laurel National 19-2.

In the Mississippi Dixie Youth 7U tournament in Brookhaven, the Lincoln County American League team fell in the opening round to Kosciusko 14-0 and then dropped their elimination game against Cleveland West by a score of 11-3.

In the Mississippi Dixie Youth 9U state tournament in Hattiesburg, the Lincoln County National League team dropped their opening round game against Columbia and fell in their elimination game against Walthall to end their run.

In the Mississippi Dixie Youth 12 O-Zone district tournament in Brookhaven, the Lincoln County American League and National League teams collided for a chance to get to the championship game against Pike County. The Lincoln County American League team came out on top by a score of 8-1. They then fell short against Pike County in the championship game by a score of 11-9.

In the Dixie Youth five-team double elimination tournament in Brookhaven, the Lincoln County National league team made it all the way to the championship game against Walthall, but fell by a score of 19-8. The Lincoln County American League team made it all the way to the semifinals after opening up the tournament with a loss to Pike County American League. The Lincoln County American League team ended up losing to Walthall 8-3.
