Funeral services for Randolph “Randy” Raynolds Jr., of Brookhaven, are today, May 31, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

His ashes will be interred in the church columbarium immediately following the service. A reception will be held today, May 31, 2017, at Cannon Hall beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Mr. Raynolds, 89, died Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was born May 15, 19283, to Randolph (Sr.) and Ellen Raynolds in New Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Choate in 1947. He attended Bard College and graduated from the University of Arizona (BA) in 1953. He attended the Boston Architectural Center 1959-1964. He was a registered architect, and also managed a $900,000 housing rehab program for West Springfield, Massachusetts. Upon retirement, he volunteered with the Austin Habitat Re-Store for more than 14 years. He was a member of the Springfield, Massachusetts, Symphony Chorus and the Appalachian Mountain Club for many years. He enjoyed singing, hiking, camping, bicycle-riding and cross-country skiing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Nancy Wilson.

Survivors are his wife, Anne Matthews; brother, Graham; sons, Jack Nelson and Ned Raynolds; daughter, Alexandra Raynolds (Matthew Skinner); and five grandchildren, Travis, Anneliese, Vivian, Ainsley and Graham.
