Jeff and Bridget Davis, of Bogue Chitto, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Rachel Elaine Davis, of Bogue Chitto, to Ronnie Glynn Thornhill Jr., of Ruth.

He is the son of Ronnie and Elizabeth Ann Thornhill Sr., of Ruth.

She is the granddaughter of Bobby and Bernadette Bowman, of Caseyville, and Richard and Syble Davis, of Ruth.

He is the grandson of the late Ellis and Tera Thornhill and the late Otis and Ophelia Morris.

The bride-elect is a 2016 graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College. She is currently employed with Simmons Eye Clinic in Brookhaven.

The prospective groom is also a 2016 graduate of Southwest Mississippi Community College. He is currently employed as a youth pastor at New Prospect Baptist Church and Walmart in McComb.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Jan. 28, 2017, at Wellman Baptist Church. A reception will follow at the church.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
