Funeral services for Stanley Patton Eavenson, of Wesson, will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at Wesson Baptist Church, at 11 a.m. with burial in the Wesson Cemetery. Bro. Charles Ray Burnham and Bro. Nelson Santa Ana will officiate the services. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be today, Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2016, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the church and will continue at Wesson Baptist Church on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, from 10 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. Eavenson, 73, died, Sunday, Nov. 13, 2016, at his residence. He was born June 2, 1943, in Mendenhall, to GW and Verlene Shows Eavenson. He was a deacon of Wesson Baptist Church, served his country in the Army National Guard and was co-owner and operator of Pat & Jimmy’s Plumbing for over 25 years. He often helped senior citizens on limited income with plumbing issues and even helped with plumbing issues in the middle of the night and in the cold weather. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and wrestling and playing cards and dominos with his buddies. He was a member of the Wesson Lions Club and was a Mason and a Gideon. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a very giving person who always enjoyed helping other people.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and brothers, Rev. Joel Eavenson, Ronnie Eavenson and Kenneth Eavenson.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Sylvia White Eavenson; daughter, Kimberly Eavenson Chisolm (John) of Pensacola, Florida; grandson, Evan Chisolm; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Berch, Stephen Walker, James Earl White, Mike White, Lynn Hutchinson, Edwin Cole and Freddy Stegall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Eavenson’s name may be made to Wesson Baptist Church or the Wesson Lion’s Club.
