Funeral services for Glen Allen Moore are Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Wiggins with burial in Wiggins City Cemetery. Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore, 68, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at Forrest General Hospital. He was born June 30, 1948, to Ottice A. Moore Jr. and Annie Rose Moore.
He grew up in Wiggins and lived in Dallas, Texas, Brandon, Brookhaven, Spring Hill, Florida, and moved back to Wiggins in 2008. Mr. Moore graduated from Stone High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast Junior College and Delta State University with a master’s degree in business administration. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Wiggins, with his wife Kathy, where he served as Sunday school director as well as on various other committees. He also served on the Stone County Airport Board and was a human resources director at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He was employed with the Mississippi Department of Education as the attendance officer for the Stone County School District.
Preceding him in death was his father.
Survivors are his wife of 37 years, Kathy Rogers Moore; one son, Steven (Stephanie), of Wiggins; one daughter, Angela Moore, of Lucedale; his mother, Annie Rose Moore; two brothers, Dennis (Ann), of Vicksburg and Honduras, and Don (Charlotte), of Ocean Springs; three grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Macy Beth Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
