Save a life and donate blood today at Reed’s Metals.
Reed’s Metals has partnered with Mississippi Blood Services to bring the donor coach to Brookhaven. The company will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at its office at 19 E. Lincoln Drive.
The blood drive is part of Mississippi Blood Services 2016 Road to Life campaign, where all donors are registered for a chance to win a 2016 Jeep Renegade from Mac Haik in Flowood.
“Donating blood is so important because we have the real ability to save lives,” Reed’s Metals Marketing and PR Director Jessica Breazeale said. “What could possibly be more important than that? Reed’s Metals is thrilled to partner alongside Mississippi Blood Services to host this blood drive because our company is very community-minded. Our employees and customers are good people who never shy away from lending a helping hand.”
The amount of donated blood in Lincoln County is down and Reed’s Metals wanted to provide an avenue for the community to donate, Breazeale said.
“The blood donated today goes to King’s Daughters,” she said. “That means when we donate today, we truly are helping and saving the lives of our friends and family members here locally. This is such vital, life-saving gift you could give to someone and it doesn’t cost you a dime. In fact, you get incentivized. Mississippi Blood Services will give you a shirt and enter you to win a Jeep — if you weren’t already convinced — just for donating.”
To reserve a donation time slot or for more information on the blood drive at Reed’s Metals, send a message to the Reed’s Metals of Brookhaven, Corporate Office Facebook page. MBS asks donors to bring an ID and eat at least four hours before giving blood. All donors will receive a MBS Road to Life T-shirt.
