Diamond Wolves named All-State

The Copiah-Lincoln Community College baseball team had three of its members receive postseason honors from the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC).

Champ Davison, Cole Langdon, and Matthew Mordecai were all named MACJC All-State Second Team.
Davison, a native of Moss Point, led the Wolves in RBIs with 23 and hits with 44. The freshman second baseman also led the team in stolen bases with 13 on the year.

As a freshman outfielder, Mordecai led the team in batting average with .353 and tied for the team high in homers with two. Mordecai also hit 12 doubles on the season in just 102 at bats.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Langdon was one of the most consistent arms out of the Wolves bullpen throughout the season. He pitched 57 innings for the squad this year, the most of any Wolves pitcher. He started four games on the year and finished with a 3-1 record and an ERA of 4.11. The freshman hurler posted 39 strikeouts on the season to lead his team.

The Wolves had a 10-33 overall record in 2016.
