Lavelle Sullivan could not imagine the success Sullivan Ford Lincoln Inc. would have in the city of Brookhaven when his father purchased the dealership 25 years ago.
To celebrate Brookhaven and Southwest Mississippi’s 25 years of loyalty, Sullivan Ford Lincoln invites the community to its anniversary party at 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on June 16.
“Our upcoming celebration is a way to say ‘thank you’ to the community for 25 great years as a Ford dealer,” Sullivan said.
The event will feature entertainment by the Cotton-Bridge Band and a classic car display. Food and drinks will also be served and door prizes will be drawn throughout the celebration.
Buck Sullivan, Lavelle’s father, purchased the Brookhaven Ford dealership in 1991. At the time, the dealership’s name changed to Albritton Sullivan Ford, but in 2000, the name was changed to Sullivan Ford Lincoln.
Lavelle Sullivan said the best part of owning a successful dealership is being able to employ 48 residents.
“Providing such a valuable service to Brookhaven, employing the number of people we do and participating in community and charity events are some of the best moments I have from the last 25 years,” Sullivan said.
The key behind Sullivan Ford Lincoln’s success without a doubt comes from the customer service the dealership provides, he said.
