The families of Brandon Kent and Devan Whittington announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

She is the daughter of Dehna and Shannon Maxie, of Bogue Chitto, and Jamie and Melissa Whittington, of Meadville.

He is the son of Denise Kent, of Bogue Chitto, and the late Keith Kent.

She is the granddaughter of Ellen and Bobby Martin, of Bogue Chitto, Sherry Maxie, of Ruth, and the late Pete Maxie.

He is the grandson of Mattaleen Moak, of Bogue Chitto, the late J.P. and Nelda Moak, of Bogue Chitto, the late Fred and Marjory Kent, of Huntsville, Alabama, and special family friends Joann and Donny Dean of Huntsville, Alabama.

The bride-elect is a 2011 graduate of Enterprise Attendance Center. She is currently employed with First Baptist Church Wee Care.

The prospective groom is a 2011 graduate of Bogue Chitto Attendance Center. He is currently employed with Altair Strickland as a boilermaker.

The couple will exchange vows at 6 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bogue Chitto. A reception will follow at Bogue Chitto Volunteer Fire Department.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and the reception.
