McLaine Boyd stands with his science project Monday following his first place win in the seventh-eighth grade biochemistry division of Brookhaven Academy’s science fair. Boyd’s project was to use nitrogen to make ice cream. Boyd, along with 76 other first and second place winners from BA, will advance to the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools District 4 West Science Fair on March 23.
