Q: Is there a new coffee shop opening in town?

A: Not a coffee shop in the strictest sense. Downtown Americana restaurant Georgia Blue has plans for a boutique eatery where its desserts will be made and served.

Manager at Georgia Blue, John Grafton, said they aren’t too sure of any details like the name or when it will open, but the location is set. The new place will be directly across the street in a building on Whitworth Avenue and will feature GB’s homemade desserts and “the like” along with coffee that may be enjoyed in the establishment’s sitting area.
