One dead, two face serious injuries after wreck on MS 583

A two-car accident in Lincoln County Sunday night has left one dead and two with serious or life-threatening injuries.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop M responded to a two-vehicle accident on MS 583 near Primitive Drive Sunday at 7:36 p.m.
Michael Randolph, 32, from Summit was pronounced dead on scene according to MHP spokesperson Brandon Fortenberry.
Randolph was driving a black 2000 Nissan Maxima traveling south on MS 583. A 2013 Ford Explorer driven by Dolores Jordan was traveling north on MS 583. Fortenberry said the Nissan car crossed over the center line coming into contact with the Ford SUV in the northbound lane. After impact the SUV overturned in the ditch, and the Maxima came to rest in the southbound lane.
A passenger in the Maxima, Maranda Davidson, 32, from McComb was transported to King’s Daughters Medical Center and then further transported to University Medical Center in Jackson with serious injuries. Jordan, 47, from Bogue Chitto was transported to KDMC and then further airlifted to UMC with life threatening injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
