Old buildings contain hazardous materials

Q: Why are the old hospital at the corner of Jackson and Congress streets and Eva Harris school located off of Dissa Street not included on the city’s cleanup project? A: According to the city inspector’s office, both involve hazardous material, and the city does not currently have the capabilities to address it.
