41 graduate from BA; 32 with honors

Forty-one Brookhaven Academy seniors recently graduated, with 36 of those being Mississippi Scholars.
Twenty-three graduates were Honor Graduates, having achieved a 90 or above cumulative numerical average for all classes. Nine graduated with Highest Honors, having achieved a 95 or above cumulative
numerical average for all classes. The graduating class received $889,215 in scholarships.
Brye Foster, son of Mitchell and Tammy Foster, is valedictorian for the 2015 graduating class. Foster was named the STAR student and maintained a 4.0 GPA. He was a member of the football and tennis teams,
National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, Quiz Bowl team, Robotics Club, History Club and 25-Plus Club. Foster plans to attend the University of Mississippi and enroll in the pre-pharmacy program.
Mary Claire White is salutatorian for the class of 2015. White is the daughter of Korey and Crystal White. She maintained a 4.0 average and was a member of the basketball team, president of
the National Honor Society, member of National Science Honor Society and Positive Choices Club. She also was a member of Les Belles and the Crown Club. White plans to attend Copiah-Lincoln Community College and major in elementary education.
“It has been a privilege for me to serve as counselor for this outstanding group of students. They are a high achieving group and have a great future ahead of them,” BA Counselor Daisy Arnold said. “I know they will be successful in their future endeavors, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with them and their parents during the last five years.”
