Enterprise honors athletes at banquet

The Enterprise faculty and coaches honored their varsity athletes with an athletic banquet Tuesday night to recognize the football, basketball, softball, baseball, cheerleader, dance, tennis, golf and archery teams.
Enterprise Booster Club president John Paul Holmes welcomed the crowd to the banquet that was held in Enterprise’s new gymnasium.
Holmes concluded the awards ceremony and recognized three seniors as the winner of the Maroon, Gold and Yellow Jacket scholarship. Abby Burke received the $500 Gold Award. Josh Hardin was honored with the $500 Maroon Award. Davis Smith received the $1,000 Yellow Jacket Award.
Coaches from each sport recognized their team’s achievements during the year, and players were given awards to signify their hard work.
Carly Polk received the Most Versatile Player award in softball. Dwayne Pendleton received the overall Most Valuable Player award in boys’ basketball. Jontavious Smith earned the Best Offensive Player honors and Jarrod Dixon was recognized as the Best Defensive Player award in boys’ basketball.
Alissa Barlow received Most Valuable Player honors in girls’ basketball. Courtney Greer earned the Most Valuable Offensive player award in girls’ basketball. Adrienne Byrd took home the Most Valuable Defensive Player award in girls’ basketball.
Randall Duke got the Most Valuable Male Golfer. Addison Bessonette received the Most Valuable Female Golfer.
Austin Hemphill was honored with the Top Male Shooter. Dezirae Katt received the Top Female Shooter.
Mylaine McCaffery was selected as the Most Valuable Female Player in tennis. Noah McKone was the Most Valuable Male Players in tennis.
Austin Coleman received with Most Valuable Defensive Player Award in football. Zach Hodges was selected the Most Valuable Offensive Player in football. Layne Brown received honors as the Most Valuable Special Team Player.
In baseball, Hunter Richardson claimed the Best Offensive Player award. Brady Watts earned the Best Defensive Player award. Landon Gartman was the Most Valuable Pitcher.
Seniors in each sport were recognized with awards for their effort and the juniors received their letterman jackets.
