Graveside services for Sidney Joel Westbrook of McCall Creek are 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, at Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers are Robert Brister, Jimmy Brister, Matt Cofer, Clint Martin, Jacob Westbrook and Dave Pessoney. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Pickett, Norman Jones Jr., Russell Laird and Mike Westbrook.

Visitation is Wednesday, March 4, 2015, from 5 until 8 p.m. and Thursday, March 5, from 10 a.m. at Franklin Funeral Home until time of service.

Bro. Glen Bird will be officiating the services.

Mr. Westbrook, 87, died March 2, 2015, at his residence. He was born on Oct. 24, 1927 in Claiborne County to Albert Sidney and Birdie Fleming Westbrook.

He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He was a retired tire builder from Armstrong Tire and Rubber in Natchez. He served in the United States Navy Reserves. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a loving, gentle man who was always looking out for others.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert Sidney and Birdie Fleming Westbrook; grandson, Scott Westbrook; one brother; and six sisters.

Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Eleanor Brister Westbrook; sons, Steve Westbrook of Vicksburg and Mitchell Westbrook and, wife, Susie of Brookhaven; daughter, Pansy Westbrook O’Quinn and husband, Pat, of McCall Creek; sisters, Cornell “Connie” Westbrook Burke of Brookhaven, Bobbie Bert Westbrook Calcote of Columbia, Missouri, and Wilma Westbrook Martin and husband, Bob, of Osyka; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
