Holiday basketball start this week

It’s holiday basketball tournament time as local teams get set to knock off the holiday rust early. Local fans will have plenty of action to watch as Brookhaven Academy, McComb, Dexter and Bay High will host Holiday tournaments or some may call it Holiday Classics.
Many basketball fans may have to travel to support their school in tournament action.
Brookhaven Academy will host their annual holiday event this Monday and Tuesday at John R. Gray Gymnasium. The Cougars and Lady Cougars will take on Tri-County Academy on Monday and Glenbrook Academy on Tuesday in the late night games starting at 6:30 p.m.
The holiday classic event will begin at 4 p.m. for the other teams.
The McComb Tigers will host their annual Holiday tournament Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The Brookhaven Panthers will be participating in the tournament as they get ready to battle the McComb Tigers, Tuesday, starting at 6 p.m.
The West Lincoln Bears and the Wesson Cobras will be involved in the Holiday tournament action at Dexter High School. The tournament starts Tuesday and continues on Friday and Saturday.
The Bears and Lady Bears battle the Salem Wildcats in the opener starting at 12 p.m. The Cobras and Lady Cobras tangle with Varnado as action begin at 3 p.m.
The Lawrence County Cougars and Lady Cougars will be in action at the Bay High tournament, in Bay St. Louis, on Dec. 29 and 30.
